If you are new to Bethany Church of the Nazarene, here is some great information about our church and how to get involved…
How should I dress? We have a friendly and casual atmosphere, but dress the way you feel most comfortable, from jeans to business casual to suit and tie. But don’t worry about what you are wearing. We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear.
Do I need to bring anything? No, but feel free to bring a Bible or a pen and note pad to take notes.
Will I have to stand up and introduce myself? Newcomers and visitors do not have to introduce themselves during the Sunday Services. However, you will have a chance to meet the people around you at some point in the service, and we would love to get to know you after the service has concluded and before everyone leaves to go home.
What is the service like? Our service is a mix of traditional and contemporary, with worship songs and hymns before and after a main message or sermon. The entire service usually lasts an hour and a half.
What is the music like? Bethany Church of the Nazarene offers hymns, contemporary praise & worship music, focused upon congregational singing led by our music team. The music spans a range of styles from joyful celebration to intimate communion with God.
Where do I park? Ample parking is available in the front and rear of the church.
Where should I go once inside the building? Feel free to mingle around once inside. There’ll be greeters to direct you to the main Sanctuary.
Where do the kids go? Bethany Church of the Nazarene has a wonderful program for children of all ages. While the parents are enjoying the service, the kids are learning about God at their level. You will need to register your child for the program. Safety and security are very important to us. All of our teachers have been through appropriate screening (interviews and police checks). If this is your first visit, someone will help direct you to the room most appropriate for your child. Feel free to stay for a few minutes to ask the teacher questions and see what they will be studying that particular day.
